The Cedar Pub
This is where guests can relax after a long day of travelling, doing business or conferencing. It also has a deck with a spectacular view over the Outeniqua Mountains. Our Cedar Pub is only open to our guests by prior arrangement, thus ensuring the continued peaceful atmosphere of the Lodge.
There is a bit of history behind the name of this Pub. It is named in honour of one of the oldest Cedars that grew in Knysna, but unfortunately had to be cut down to make way for road changes. We were fortunate enough to obtain a beautiful piece of this tree and used it to create our bar counter.
We feel sure that if the bar counter could speak (probably after a few drinks) it would tell a story of the plentiful years it stood in Knysna - it is part of the same tree from which the splendid wooden sculpture on the Knysna Waterfront was crafted.
Driftwood Lapa and Braai area
Our rustic Lapa has a very laidback atmosphere, ideal for an outdoor braai on an open fire. Guests can relax and enjoy an informal evening or afternoon. Driftwood Lapa is always open for the enjoyment of our guests, but can also be booked for any special occasion.
